Duties & Responsibilities:
- This position is part of the Business Office and provides administrative support for Football and Strength and other areas as needed and reports to the Associate Director of Finance and Operations for Intercollegiate Athletics
- Type and proofread various documents including letters, memoranda, reports, forms, narratives, and training materials
- Act as office receptionist by greeting and directing visitors, screening calls, and providing general information and assistance
- Open, sort, and distribute mail
- Maintain various computerized and paper files, records and logs, and retrieves information upon request
- Schedule appointments, make travel arrangements, and maintain calendars for supervisor and staff
- Inventory and order supplies
- Post entries to ledgers and journals to account for expenditures or receipts
- Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of record keeping procedures
Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics
Knowledge of work-related subject area
Knowledge of computers and software applications
Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form
Ability to establish and maintain filing systems
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance
Availability to work after hours, weekends, or holidays as requested

The Administrative Specialist II reports to the Associate Director of Finance & Operations for Intercollegiate Athletics
The Administrative Specialist II has regular contact with department staff, other state agency/institution personnel, clients/students, personnel of regulated entities, and the general public
Job Requirements
The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
One (1) year of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
