Administrative Specialist III - 12033C

Duties & Responsibilities:

    Receive, sort and distribute the mail
    Enter and maintain budgets for the office in a timely manner, which requires creating reports to verify budget information, and monitoring expenditures related to the budget
    Organize, process, and maintain records of Teacher Education candidates seeking program admission and licensure
    Organize and oversee the disbursement of clinical supervisor pay
    Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
    Enter and maintain data for Praxis exams in database program to facilitate access of reports
    Complete all final copies of the Teacher Education Program Admission Report, Exit Evaluation Report, Institutional Summary Report, Educator Preparation Program Statistical Summary Report and Teacher Intern Handbooks
    Schedule and coordinate staff appointments and other meetings
    Maintain the Director’s calendar and assist Director with meetings, reports, travel, and etc.
    Other duties as assigned


Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics
Knowledge of research and analysis techniques and methods
Knowledge of work-related subject area
Knowledge of computers and software applications

Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
Ability to research and analyze related work program information
Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Job Requirements

The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma

One (1) year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field

Two (2) years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed

Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
