Graphic Artist - 14034C
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and distribute compelling content for all digital communications platforms
Proactively manage university digital signage messaging, offering training and support to campus users
Lead, develop, and review changes to website content via the site’s content management system
Develop social media strategies for the university on all platforms with the goals of increasing engagement and affinity
Monitor external responses (e.g. likes, comments, shares, messages, etc.) and interact accordingly, driving conversation and positive customer experiences
Create and implement protocols for effective internal communication with current students, faculty and staff
Support digital media staff photography and videography initiatives on location and in studio as needed
Assist the digital media staff with asset management, including taxonomy, captioning and meta tagging
Manages other projects and duties as necessary and assigned
Knowledge of art and print layout and design techniques. Knowledge of computer software usage in graphic design and artwork. Knowledge of printing equipment. Ability to create design and layout using computer software upon request.
Ability to prepare materials for printing. Ability to produce camera-ready artwork and digital photography.
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Assistant Director for Digital Media Design works under the supervision of the Director of Creative Media
The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
Two (2) years of specialized training in commercial art, graphic design, or related field
Two (2) year of experience in advertising, printing, graphic design, or related area
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
