The primary responsibility will be to advise students for the General Studies and Interdisciplinary Degree programs. This position will also assist with advising of undecided students, students in poor academic standing and assisting in other University College activities.
Serving under the Director of Research Compliance, the Assistant Director shall assist in providing administrative oversight for the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and the Radiation and Laser Safety Committee (RLSC) and shall ensure institutional compliance with U.S. Federal and Arkansas State regulations governing human and animal subject research; and biosafety/security. The Assistant Director shall assist in overseeing the University responsible conduct of research program, export control compliance and the use of institutional resources by external users.
The Assistant Director may also assist with coordination and tracking of university sponsored grants and contracts.
